For the second year running, we have partnered with SPACE+ to help deliver their flagship property conference, SPACE UK, renowned for challenging industry norms, fostering big ideas, and building meaningful connections. Widely regarded as one of the world’s most progressive property events, the 2025 lineup featured executives from BBC, Sky, Spotify, and British Land.


For SJARK, this was a two-day project, including a build day and the live event. Our role was to provide expert audio, staging, and lighting solutions, adapting to the fast-paced nature of a conference with multiple speakers and sessions. From the initial conversation to the event’s execution, we collaborated closely with the team at SPACE+ to ensure every technical element ran smoothly - keeping the focus on the event’s high-quality discussions and seamless transitions.

Stage 1.
Starting the conversation.

SPACE+ needed more than just technical execution—they needed a production partner who could integrate into their team and proactively manage technical challenges. With over 30 speakers per stage, multiple breakout sessions, and a tight schedule, the key priorities were:


  • Flawless audio execution across two simultaneous stages with no disruptions or interference.
  • Rapid microphone and on-stage transitions to keep discussions flowing according to a tight schedule.
  • Adaptability to last-minute changes while maintaining a seamless guest experience.


So, considering the above, we began our in-depth consultation.


Stage 2.
Collaborate and evaluate.

Comprehensive Pre-Event Planning

From our first consultation, we focused on fully understanding SPACE+’s project needs, defining technical requirements (staging, microphone setups, lighting), and building both the technical framework and team structure that would align with their event goals.


Freelancer Matchmaking

We continued our planning by carefully matching the technical team to SPACE+’s needs. With the event’s high-paced format, we carefully assembled an expert team tailored to the event’s scale and complexity. This included a Production Manager, an Audio Director, and skilled sound engineers and technicians who excel in detailed production work, work independently, engage with guests, and adapt to last-minute changes.  


Seamless Collaboration

From the outset, we worked in close partnership with SPACE+’s operations team, ensuring an integrated workflow that complemented their event setup and objectives. A dedicated on-site consultation allowed us to fine-tune every technical detail—clarifying requirements, anticipating potential challenges, and crafting a tailored solution that met their exact needs.


Stage 3.
Go.

Set-up Day

The setup day began with a full team walkthrough, aligning everyone on the day's objectives before unloading and setting up the equipment. This ensured a smooth, coordinated build process—allowing us to catch any last-minute adjustments early and keep everything on track.


Every piece of equipment was tested for reliability, ensuring flawless audio execution, clear microphone sound, and zero interference—critical for this nature of projects.


A key element for the success of such a project is empowering a well-prepared crew. Which is why it was - and is - important for us that every team member received a detailed electronic briefing and on-site walkthrough, ensuring they were fully equipped to support the event.


Not to mention the fact that a happy crew delivers the best results. To support this, we made sure team members had proper breaks, hydration, and support throughout the day—contributing to a positive and productive event atmosphere.


Event Day

The event day itself started with a round of coffees and hot chocolates for the team, before doing a final test of all stages with the production manager and the client.


With careful planning and a highly adaptable team, the event was executed smoothly. Speakers took the stage with confidence, discussions flowed without disruption, and our production team worked seamlessly behind the scenes to keep everything running on schedule, which felt like an extension of SPACE+’s own.
